Former GE Global Leader of Environmental and Water Programs, Kris Morico, joins Moore & Gasperecz Global Inc. to Board of Advisors

Moore & Gasperecz Global Inc. announced today the addition of Kris Morico to their Board of Advisors.

“Kris understands the EHS industry like few do with over 35 years of experience in EHS, sustainability and engineering, as well as over 16 years as an executive with extensive leadership responsibilities for global EHS operations,” said Margery Moore, CEO and Founder of Moore & Gasperecz Global. “Kris has the depth of industry knowledge to understand the incredible impact AI will have on compliance management and will be a great asset as we strategically bring ehsAI to market.”

A recognized leader within the EHS community, she has held positions spanning across Fortune 100 companies, including General Electric (GE), Tyco International, UTC, and ABB/Combustion Engineering. In her role as the global environmental leader for GE, Kris was responsible for the strategic direction and implementation for several programs and sustainability initiatives across the company.  

Kris has demonstrated success directly managing large EHS organizations and virtual teams and maintains strong relationships with multiple regulatory agencies and NGOs, including EPA, OSHA, and numerous state and local governmental organizations.

As AECOM’s EHS Management Strategic Executive Director, Kris worked with world-class EHS professionals and her extensive professional network to bring innovation, reliability and credibility to the industrial client base.

Kris began her career working in the municipal water sector as a process engineer for the Regional Water Authority in New Haven, CT, and since then, has earned positions increasing in responsibility with entities such as Pratt and Whitney, Tyco International, Clairol, Inc., Malcolm Pirnie, Inc., and ABB/Combustion Engineering. Kris earned a BS in Biology from Fairfield University, MS Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut, MEM Environmental Management from Yale University, and an EMBA from the University of Connecticut.

She holds licenses and certifications from many organizations: a licensed Professional Engineer in nine states; a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer in the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists; a Certified Safety Professional, Diplomate; a Water Resources Engineer; and an ENVISIONTM Sustainability Professional. She also holds a Class IV Water Treatment Plant Operators License issued by the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health and is an Environmental Laboratory Director through the same agency. Additionally, Kris is an ISO 14001:2015 IRCA Provisional Lead Auditor.

Kris is a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers and is an active member in many professional EHS organizations. She is the 2019 incoming President of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) and is the former President of the National Association of Environmental Managers (NAEM).
